32-hour Radiation Safety Certification course (held over 2 weekends)
Orientation Session - 2hrs (ONLINE - LIVE), usually the Tuesday evening before Day 1 of class
Lecture & Exams - 5hrs (ONLINE - SELF STUDY)
Clinical Day 1: 9am-5pm (IN- PERSON)
3 FMXs on DXTTR
Mounting Exercise
Quizzes
Homework (in between Day 1 & Day 2): Complete 3 FMXs in your own office and bring copies to Day 2 of class
Clinical Day 2: 9am-5pm (IN PERSON)
Final Clinical Exam on a classmate
Review of paperwork
Final Written Exam online

REQUIRED PREREQUISITES as of January 1, 2025:
Dental Board approved 8hr Infection Control certification
Current and valid Basic Life Support certification (must be obtained by an approved provider, see details below)
You must provide copies of your Infection Control & BLS/CPR certifications prior to taking this class as they are required for patient care. This is per the new requirements of the Dental Board of California (see senate bill 1453). Please direct any questions regarding this new requirement to the Dental Board.
We recommend Santa Clara County Dental Society for these courses but you can find other approved providers on the Dental Board website.
For BLS/CPR: must be through the American Red Cross, the American Heart Association, the American Safety and Health Institute, the American Dental Association’s Continuing Education Provider Recognition (CERP) program, or the Academy of General Dentistry’s Program Approval for Continuing Education (PACE).
